Jesus. Arguably the most well known name on the planet. But are the stories true?
Or was He just a fictional character in an ancient storybook?
Whether you’ve heard His name as a curse word in passing, or you’ve learned about Him in Sunday school as a small child, the question still remains. Is Jesus real, and what does His story have to do with mine?
Jesus claimed to be God, and through the course of His life, many were healed and even raised from the dead by his power. Does this make Him God? Jesus also told people their sins were forgiven. That alone is generally reserved for the role of God.
So what makes Jesus’ story believable? The Bible says this…
“Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross. Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
The truth is, God loves you with the most extravagant love, and showed this through His Son Jesus. The Bible says: – “For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.” Romans 3:23.
We often feel like we don’t measure up and could never face God because of how we’ve lived our lives. But God in His amazing grace stands with arms open wide, waiting for us. All we have to do is firstly believe that He is God and then accept His free gift of Salvation. That is to say “Yes, you can now lead my life!”
We call this a ‘Salvation Prayer’. “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9.

“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16.
