We understand saying goodbye to a special person is never easy but sadly it is simply a part of life. LifeHouse Church is a perfect place to honour your loved one in an authentic and personal way. Our friendly and compassionate team is here to help and support you throughout the process saying goodbye.

Our facility offers state of the art spaces for hosting both services and wakes, accommodating styles to suit individual requirements whether it be:

• Traditional funeral with casket
• Memorial
• Celebration of Life

Our venue is fresh, modern and seamlessly styled and is set up to comfortably accommodate a large gathering. Only 10 minutes from Melbourne Airport and moments from the Tullamarine Freeway, LifeHouse Church is perfectly situated to host any large gathering.

Our Auditorium

Our large capacity auditorium can seat up to 600 guests and comes complete with high-end audio-visual equipment which is included in our hire cost.  Alternatively, we can condense the size of the auditorium with our curtains to create a more intimate space for gatherings where less than 250 guests are expected.

When holding a funeral at LifeHouse Church, you will have access to our Funerals Co-ordinator during the planning process to ensure that the day of the funeral runs smoothly. This can be done directly with organising family members or in conjunction with funeral directors. 

On the day the LifeHouse Church team will consist of your Funeral Co-ordinator, 3 hosts to navigate guests into the building and into the auditorium, a car park attendant and audio-visual staff.  A 3-hour timeslot is allocated to ensure the room set up is appropriate and all necessary multimedia technology testing is complete as well as leaving plenty of time for you to honour your loved one. We welcome flowers and any other décor which will need to be delivered to the premise at least 2 hours prior to the start time of the service.

Currently we can offer the following times: 

  • Monday to Thursdays 3pm onwards
  • Saturday 3pm onwards

In our experience we have seen this work very well with families who choose to do a private burial or cremation prior and have a Celebration of Life or Memorial Service afterwards.  This allows the family to come together and truly celebrate their loved one and be able to continue at the venue afterwards for the Wake without having to go anywhere else.

We are also happy to cater for a more traditional style funeral with the casket in the auditorium within the available booking times.

Wake Offerings

By The Ninth Ave

The Ninth Ave Event Centre (same building as LifeHouse Church) offers several spaces to accommodate an after-service Wake for family and friends to gather and share some food and memories together.

Our kitchen operates during the week as a café, so all the meals prepared for the Wake are of the highest quality and we also have access to great baristas for that perfect coffee.
At this stage The Ninth Ave. Event Centre does not have a liquor license so we cannot offer any alcohol on the premises.
