Richard & Helen Kobakian

Richard and Helen Kobakian are the much-loved Senior Pastors and founders of LifeHouse Church. Their heart is to see a large, Jesus centred church, full of grace and truth, reaching and equipping all generations around the world.

From their lounge room in 2002, Ps Richard and Helen planted LifeHouse Church with a handful of people and big dreams. LifeHouse has now grown to be a vibrant, significant church meeting both locally and internationally.  Both Richard and Helen encountered God during their teens and felt a significant call to give their lives to a greater purpose.

Richard grew up in Melbourne and heard the call of God on his life at the age of 16. His life was radically turned around to follow Christ. Richard has a unique evangelistic gift to deliver engaging and life-changing messages that connect people to their Creator. With an incredible gift of leadership, he is in demand as a speaker and encourager to many churches and teams across the world. Richards humorous edge and life-transforming style causes people to win at home, work and excel at life. He has the heart to see every person living their lives to the fullest extent of God’s purposes.

HELEN KOBAKIAN

Helen was raised in a Christian home in Sydney, NSW and was always passionate about the Church. But it wasn’t until a very personal encounter with God’s grace and goodness in her late teens that she committed her life to serve Him in a greater way.  Today Ps Helen is a gifted communicator who is passionate about connecting people to God, each other and to their God-given talents. Her down to earth, easy-going style has a way of opening people’s hearts to God’s incredible love for them. Through ‘Flourish’ Women’s Conference in Melbourne and Poland, Helen continues to inspire women of all ages.

Both Richard & Helen’s desire is to see people not only connect to Jesus and the Church but become passionate followers of Christ. Their hope is for people to encounter the love of Jesus in an environment of family, excellence, creativity, generosity and fun. They also have a heart to partner with kingdom minded leaders who have a passion to learn and grow. They are blessed with three fantastic children. Sarah, with her husband Darcy, Stephanie, with her husband Michael and Mark, all have a passion for life, God, and His Church. Richard and Helen live in Melbourne, Australia.
